![]() ![]() In case of crash, application log could help a bit - it can be collected using Android System Info app. Including 3.54.14.I'm not sure whether sending someone non-free book is legal. Stuart Woods, Santa Fe Edge - this one hangs every version of Cool Reader I tried newer than 3.49.07. Stephen White, The Last Lie - I got this one to open one time, but every other time Cool Reader hung. I'm not sure where you're located or what library access you have, but the two books I know of that had problems are Can I distribute one of these without running afoul of any laws? If not, is there something I can do from my end to get you more information? The two I have are both from the public library and have DRM. I really like being able to access the CSS - just last night I reformatted my paragraphs because I thought the publisher's indent was too large.Īs far as sending an epub that won't open, I'm not sure what the legalities are. I'm using Cool Reader for all my epub books because I find it the most intuitive and easiest to customize. First, let me say, despite this minor problem with a few books, you've created an AWESOME reader. ![]() ![]() Many thanks in advanceFixed in last update on Market.Īlternatively, you can download APK from SourceForge But I like "pages" as page view and miss my previous beautiful display.ĭoes anyone know what could I have messed up, and, more importantly, how to get the original, single-page display with "pages" view? What is even stranger, page shows as single page if I chose "scroll" as page view. Even reinstalling Cool Reader did not help. I tried changing and re-changing this setting, to no avail. I found the settings where you chose between one or two pages in landscape, and it was set to one page. Not a good thing on a small phone screen. I must have accidentally pressed something, and all of the sudden I see two pages in landscape mode. However something weird happened yesterday. I am using Cool Reader (current android market version) on my phone for a couple of weeks and love it. And I don't think it would require too many changes, since all the functionality is basically already there.First off, big thanks to Bugggins for a very nice application! I am very impressed with the functionality. Keeping the book / bookmark file in a synced folder would keep the book synced between all the devices - feature missing from all the other readers. Having it behave the way I described would make export / import / search for text steps unnecessary. Supported formats: FB2, TXT, RTF, DOC, TCR, HTML, EPUB, CHM, PDB, MOBI. Right now it seems like the bookmark list is kept somewhere else, and you only get the option to export to a accessible file, but not to import from it. CoolReader is fast and small cross-platform XML/CSS based E-Book reader for desktops and handheld devices. I was wondering if it would be possible to set it up so that by default the bookmarks are directly written to, and read from the text file residing in the folder that the book does. To find the page though I have to open the exported bookmark first, select the text, copy the text, open the book, search for the text - quite a few steps. Exporting it to a file in conjunction with a SugarSync allows me to keep track of where I finished reading between different devices (Nook/cm7, Dinc, and work computer). #265 voy78 04-18-2011, 08:39 PMGreat reader! I especially like the bookmark functionality.
